Welcome November! Every day is a great day to be thankful!

Happy birthday to all of you with November birthdays.  May your birthday be one of the best ever. Celebrate!

Thankfulness:
This month let's take time to really consider our level of thankfulness and gratitude.  As a family or an individual consider taking time each day to focus on what you are thankful for.  Gratitude and thankfulness go a long way in making our lives beautiful.  Focus on the positive and remember to be thankful even for the smallest things that God provides.  Don't wait for the huge moves of God--be thankful for the small ones too.

Power Thought for the Week from Prophetess Tera Carissa Hodges:
Maturity says: I've been around this mountain and this is not my first rodeo.  The temptation looks promising but the harvest is destruction.

Marriage Moment from Marriage Works @ mrgwrks
Keep talking with your mate until you are both clear on what the other is saying.  Miscommunication is a marriage wrecker.  What is your communication style?  What is your mates communication style?

Tips for Marriage Communication
  • Do pray before engaging in serious conversations
  • Do be slow to speak but quick to listen
  • Don't allow the emotions of your spouse to dictate your responses
  • Don't allow your expectations to consume you
  • Do give a soft answer
  • Don't interrupt
  • Don't be judgmental
  • Do clarify what you thought you heard. Ex. "So what you're saying is..."
  • Do be patient
  • Don't allow your attention to drift
  • Don't choose to talk when you or your partner are physically or mentally exhausted.
Successfully Single Moment from Shannon Y. Tanner @ShannonYvette
God does not simply marry people.  He marries purpose.  Pursue God's purpose for your life and the relationship will follow.

This week remember....

We as believers think we can do something in our own strength or wisdom. We must realize that it is the power of God that will cause circumstances to change. So we must have faith in the power of God! #cccdevotion
