Welcome November! Every day is a great day to be thankful!

Happy birthday to all of you with November birthdays.  May your birthday be one of the best ever. Celebrate!

Thankfulness:
This month let's take time to really consider our level of thankfulness and gratitude.  As a family or an individual consider taking time each day to focus on what you are thankful for.  Gratitude and thankfulness go a long way in making our lives beautiful.  Focus on the positive and remember to be thankful even for the smallest things that God provides.  Don't wait for the huge moves of God--be thankful for the small ones too.

Power Thought for the Week from Prophetess Tera Carissa Hodges:
Maturity says: I've been around this mountain and this is not my first rodeo.  The temptation looks promising but the harvest is destruction.

Marriage Moment from Marriage Works @ mrgwrks
Keep talking with your mate until you are both clear on what the other is saying.  Miscommunication is a marriage wrecker.  What is your communication style?  What is your mates communication style?

Tips for Marriage Communication
  • Do pray before engaging in serious conversations
  • Do be slow to speak but quick to listen
  • Don't allow the emotions of your spouse to dictate your responses
  • Don't allow your expectations to consume you
  • Do give a soft answer
  • Don't interrupt
  • Don't be judgmental
  • Do clarify what you thought you heard. Ex. "So what you're saying is..."
  • Do be patient
  • Don't allow your attention to drift
  • Don't choose to talk when you or your partner are physically or mentally exhausted.
Successfully Single Moment from Shannon Y. Tanner @ShannonYvette
God does not simply marry people.  He marries purpose.  Pursue God's purpose for your life and the relationship will follow.

We as believers think we can do something in our own strength or wisdom. We must realize that it is the power of God that will cause circumstances to change. So we must have faith in the power of God! #cccdevotion

"Elders who do their work well should be respected and paid well, especially those who work hard at both preaching and teaching." NLT

Today we honor and thank you for all that you do!

Power Thought for the Week from Anthony Robbins:
The only limit to your impact is your imagination and commitment.

This Week's Marriage Moment from Marriage Works:
If condemnation is your chief tool to get improvement from your spouse, you may get what you want short-term, but the oppressive behavior will weigh on your spouse and hurt your marriage.  Praise the good, point out the opportunities for growth, and pray about it all.

This Weeks Successfully Single Thought from Mandy Hale:
Happily Single is devoting your time to your passions, dreams, and goals without distractions.  It's figuring out your path before you join someone else on his or hers.

From Dr. Cindy Trimm's new book---Til Heaven Invades Earth:

The root of faith is the knowledge of a person--Oswald Chambers

John 14:12-14 The Message
You can count on it.  From now on, whatever you request along the lines of who I am and what I am doing, I'll do it.  That's how the Father will be seen for who He is in the Son.  I mean it.  Whatever you request in this way, I'll do.

He is..
El Elyon...God Most High. There is no power, principality, authority, or "god" that is greater than El Elyon.  We must know this when we pray.

Power Thought for the Week from Minister Coletta Renee:
No matter how hard it may be, TRUST GOD'S PROCESS.  You'll be glad that you did and you will be handsomely rewarded! TRUST GOD COMPLETELY!

This Week's Marriage Moment from Marriage Works:
Grace.  You should extend it to your spouse because it won't be too  long before you'll need it yourself.

This Weeks Successfully Single Thought from Mandy Hale:
Being Happily Single doesn't mean you've sworn off love.  It doesn't mean you're ready to sign a lifetime oath of singleness or that you've given up hope of finding your happy ending.  It simply means that you're determined to have a Happy Everything.

October 13, 2013----Happy Sunday!

From Dr. Cindy Trimm's new book--Til Heaven Invades Earth
"El Olam, God is Everlasting. He is the God who does not change, who has always been and will always be." We need to all learn more about the God we pray to everyday so we can pray effectively."

Power Thought for the Week From Godly Woman Daily
Take care of your thoughts when you are alone and take care of your words when you are with people.

This Week's Successfully Single Thought from Mandy Hale
Love is a beautiful, wonderful, and even sacred thing, but until it arrives, shouldn't we give ourselves permission to thrive?

This Week's Marriage Moment From Marriage Works
When a couple marries, they are deemed "one flesh." However, becoming "one" is a process- an ongoing evolution that requires both spouses to continually show up, engage, sacrifice, and be committed to one another and the process.

Welcome October!  Happy birthday to all members and friends with October birthdays.

Any special events this month...let us know!

The Power of Self-Talk
Lance Wallnau posted this on Facebook (here's an excerpt):

"One of the most powerful factors in personal transformation is SELF TALK! If as the Bible states, you are "transformed by the renewing of your mind," how you think and what you say to yourself has to be one of the top factors in your transformation.

So where do we begin?

First, we need AWARENESS! The mischief regarding self talk is that it is so constant we seldom are aware we are doing it. You won't always catch it but you can be aware of how it makes you feel. Your emotions are wired to your thoughts - they are linked into a cause and effect sequence. As Paul wrote to the Romans: "The mind that is set on the flesh is death, but the mind that is set on the Spirit is life and peace."

(Check out the rest on his public Facebook page--Lance Wallnau....)

The most powerful thing to say to your spouse is, "I love you."  The second is, "I'm sorry."

LOVE is a beautiful thing to HAVE and to GIVE. Give love today...you could be helping someone's health. See how LOVE can heal you physically too --> http://bit.ly/YQw4cq
