Sunday, December 15, 2013.....What do you need to leave behind?

THINGS TO LEAVE BEHIND IN 2013

THINGS TO LEAVE BEHIND IN 2013:
  • People you have to chase around.
  • The idea that you are not "good enough" just because one person/one group didn't see your worth.
  • Limited thinking and settling.
  • Excuses
  • Procrastination
  • Self  Doubt
  • What do you need to leave behind?
Power Thought for the Week from Pastor Hart Ramsey:
If you want to change your world, change your words.  Your world will never come up if you keep talking it down.

Marriage Quotes from Happywivesclub.com:
Marriage is a mosaic you build with your spouse.  Millions of tiny moments that create your love story. ~ Jennifer Smith

The greatest marriages are built on teamwork.  A mutual respect, a healthy dose of admiration, and a never-ending portion of love and grace. ~ Fawn Weaver

Sunday, December 8, 2013----Are You A Believer?

This post is from Troy Anthony Smith via Facebook:
One of the greatest misconceptions about God is that some people are born with special faith. Many believe that a few were born with a "super faith" gene that gives them the ability to do great exploits for the kingdom of God; while the rest of us are destined to be mere church attendees.

That is simply not true. The kingdom of God's promises are available to anyone who will believe. God is no respecter of persons, and the Holy Spirit is available to all. It is not like physical ability, in which a guy becomes 7 feet tall and is destined to play basketball. What if you are only 5 foot tall? Or a woman who was blessed with an amazing singing voice. What if you cannot sing?

In the kingdom of God, all you have to do is believe. And by believing in Him, and in His promises, it can take you MUCH further than any (that's right, I say ANY) physical gift. But the million dollar question is...who really believes?? God is looking for believers...

“The eyes of the Lord run to and fro over the whole earth to show Himself strong on the behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward Him.” -(2 Chronicles 16:9)

Power Thought for the Week from Daniella Whyte: (@ danniwhyte)
Stop worrying about what you don't have and start amazing yourself by doing something with what you do have.

Marriage Moment from Marriage Works: (@mrgwrks)
Kindness shown is never forgotten by God, even if your spouse ignores it.
Secrets in marriage weaken the union's foundation. Be truthful, be tactful, and be timely.

Successfully Single Moment from Many Hale: (@SingleWoman)
What we are waiting for is not as important as what happens to us while we wait.  Trust the process.

Our Schedule:
12/10--Praise and Worship Rehearsal
12/11--Bible Study/Kingdom Living for the Family
12/14--Mid-East Gateway Regional Meeting

Sunday, December 1, 2013....Let's FINISH STRONG!

December is here!  No matter what let's focus and...

Share if this year you plan to

Colossians 1:10-14 So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

James 1:3  For you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.

Philippians 1:6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

December Celebrations:
Happy birthday/anniversary to all of you that celebrate birthdays and anniversaries in the month of December.

Power Thought for the Week from Pastor John Ramsey: (@PastorJFRamsey)
Timing is a critical ingredient to success.  Being the right person, at the right time, in the right place.

Marriage Moment from Shon Hyneman: (@1DrLove)
Think about it...the feeling you get when your spouse tells you how important you are.  Have you told that to your spouse lately? Have you demonstrated that to him/her lately?

Successfully Single Moment from Shannon Yvette Tanner: (@ShannonYvette)
No one can predict how or when love will find us.  Love often surprises us, that's what makes it so wonderful.  Remain OPEN to love.

Looking Ahead:

Blame is a condition of the mind, whereas love is a condition of the heart.  Choose to live your life from the heart!

Marriage Moment from Marriage Works:
Husbands: Your wife's willingness to follow you does not mean that she has less insight and wisdom.  Listen to her.

Our willingness to wait reveals the value we place on the object/person we're waiting for.

November 17, 2013---Faith and Trust Work Together

November 17, 2013-----Faith and Trust Work Together!

From Victoria Osteen's Blog at www.victoriaosteen.com:

A Different Approach

November 08, 2013
I was talking to a young man one day, and he was telling me how he wanted to become more positive. He knew his attitude was keeping him from God's best, but he wasn't sure how to get past how he was feeling. I said, "Why don't you try a different approach? Why don't you try changing your focus? Maybe you don't like your job, but you can thank God that you at least have a job. That's more than a lot of people. Maybe you don't like where you are in life right now, but thank God that you are breathing and living and that you have options ahead of you even if you don't see them right now."
See, sometimes we can try to change things around us, but really what we need to do is change our approach. One thing I've discovered is that a person of faith sees with a heart of gratefulness. When you approach life with a grateful heart, you see your problems as smaller and your God as bigger. It puts things back into perspective. When you look at life with a grateful heart, it opens the door for God to move on your behalf.

Today, know that God has a good plan for your life. Stay close to Him by praising and thanking Him for what He is doing. He wants to be Lord over your victories and your challenges. He wants you to thank Him in the times of blessing and in the difficult times. He knows that we are all a work in progress, and He wants us to draw near to Him so that He can draw near to us. If you find yourself needing to make a change, start by changing your approach. Keep your heart filled with gratitude and let Him complete the work He's begun in your life.

"For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure." (Phil 2:13, NASB)
Power Thought for the Week from Dr. Mark Chironna:
Once you become focused and intentional the tendency for the critical and argumentative thoughts your mind provides to hinder you... disappear. BE INTENTIONAL!

Marriage Moment from Praying For Her:
As a Christian husband, you would readily give your life to protect your wife.  Yet every day, satan implements a plan to destroy your wife.  The Bible says he comes to kill, steal and destroy.  Whether you like it or not, your wife is in a daily battle.  Your wife needs spiritual covering and encouragement.  God expects you to set the spiritual tempo in your relationship. Begin praying for her now...

Successfully Single Moment from Neely Terrell
If your desire is to get married, you must not continue to say that it may never happen.  If you are truly serious and prayerful about love, God counts on you to speak it into existence and believe.  Trust Him and remain optimistic toward love.

Looking Ahead:

November 10, 2013----Trust God and Believe in Good Things to Come!

With God

Your life is full of possibilities...

Matthew 19:26 The Message
Jesus looked hard at them and said, "No chance at all if you think you can pull it off yourself.  Every chance in the world if you trust God to do it."

Phillips New Testament:
Jesus looked steadily at them and replied, "Humanly speaking it is impossible; but with God anything is possible!"

Power Thought for the Week from Sophia A. Nelson:
Your character is what ultimately helps take you to the top. Your character and relationships matter.  Choose wisely.

Marriage Moment from Marriage Works @ mrgwrks
Your mate needs your prayers and unconditional love more than criticism.  Sow what you'd like to reap yourself.  From Nancy Leigh Moss:
Bless your husband by praying for him! The Apostle Paul instructed all Christians to pray for one another (Ephesians 6:18). This includes wives’ responsibility and privilege to pray for their husbands. Earnest prayer for your husband is good for him, for you and the spiritual health of your home (Proverbs 31:11-12). Satan desires to destroy your husband, especially his character and his leadership in your relationship. Trust God through prayer as you daily surrender your husband and marriage to the Lord’s wise, loving care.

Thursday, October 31, 2013

Welcome November! Every day is a great day to be thankful!

Happy birthday to all of you with November birthdays.  May your birthday be one of the best ever. Celebrate!

Thankfulness:
This month let's take time to really consider our level of thankfulness and gratitude.  As a family or an individual consider taking time each day to focus on what you are thankful for.  Gratitude and thankfulness go a long way in making our lives beautiful.  Focus on the positive and remember to be thankful even for the smallest things that God provides.  Don't wait for the huge moves of God--be thankful for the small ones too.

Power Thought for the Week from Prophetess Tera Carissa Hodges:
Maturity says: I've been around this mountain and this is not my first rodeo.  The temptation looks promising but the harvest is destruction.

Marriage Moment from Marriage Works @ mrgwrks
Keep talking with your mate until you are both clear on what the other is saying.  Miscommunication is a marriage wrecker.  What is your communication style?  What is your mates communication style?

Tips for Marriage Communication
  • Do pray before engaging in serious conversations
  • Do be slow to speak but quick to listen
  • Don't allow the emotions of your spouse to dictate your responses
  • Don't allow your expectations to consume you
  • Do give a soft answer
  • Don't interrupt
  • Don't be judgmental
  • Do clarify what you thought you heard. Ex. "So what you're saying is..."
  • Do be patient
  • Don't allow your attention to drift
  • Don't choose to talk when you or your partner are physically or mentally exhausted.
Successfully Single Moment from Shannon Y. Tanner @ShannonYvette
God does not simply marry people.  He marries purpose.  Pursue God's purpose for your life and the relationship will follow.

Looking Ahead:
11/6--Kingdom Living for the Family Bible Study @ 7:00 pm
11/9--Mid-East Gateway Regional Meeting @ 11:00 am
11/12--Mexico Trip for Apostles
11/28--Thanksgiving Day
12/7---Women's Conference in Hartsville, SC

This week remember....

We as believers think we can do something in our own strength or wisdom. We must realize that it is the power of God that will cause circumstances to change. So we must have faith in the power of God! #cccdevotion

October 27, 2013----October is Pastor Appreciation Month

                       Happy Pastor Appreciation
            Apostles Theophilus and Valarie Jones

For everything you do, in every season of our lives.....Thank You! Thank you for the inspiration, motivation and encouragement that you have imparted.

"The elders who are good leaders should be considered worthy of an ample honorarium (of respect and remuneration; ...of double honor), especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching."
1 Timothy 5:17 HCSB

"Elders who do their work well should be respected and paid well, especially those who work hard at both preaching and teaching." NLT

Today we honor and thank you for all that you do!

Power Thought for the Week from Anthony Robbins:
The only limit to your impact is your imagination and commitment.

This Week's Marriage Moment from Marriage Works:
If condemnation is your chief tool to get improvement from your spouse, you may get what you want short-term, but the oppressive behavior will weigh on your spouse and hurt your marriage.  Praise the good, point out the opportunities for growth, and pray about it all.

This Weeks Successfully Single Thought from Mandy Hale:
Happily Single is devoting your time to your passions, dreams, and goals without distractions.  It's figuring out your path before you join someone else on his or hers.

From Dr. Cindy Trimm's new book---Til Heaven Invades Earth:

The root of faith is the knowledge of a person--Oswald Chambers

John 14:12-14 The Message
You can count on it.  From now on, whatever you request along the lines of who I am and what I am doing, I'll do it.  That's how the Father will be seen for who He is in the Son.  I mean it.  Whatever you request in this way, I'll do.

He is..
El Elyon...God Most High. There is no power, principality, authority, or "god" that is greater than El Elyon.  We must know this when we pray.

Power Thought for the Week from Minister Coletta Renee:
No matter how hard it may be, TRUST GOD'S PROCESS.  You'll be glad that you did and you will be handsomely rewarded! TRUST GOD COMPLETELY!

This Week's Marriage Moment from Marriage Works:
Grace.  You should extend it to your spouse because it won't be too  long before you'll need it yourself.

This Weeks Successfully Single Thought from Mandy Hale:
Being Happily Single doesn't mean you've sworn off love.  It doesn't mean you're ready to sign a lifetime oath of singleness or that you've given up hope of finding your happy ending.  It simply means that you're determined to have a Happy Everything.

Power Thought for the Week From Godly Woman Daily
Take care of your thoughts when you are alone and take care of your words when you are with people.

This Week's Successfully Single Thought from Mandy Hale
Love is a beautiful, wonderful, and even sacred thing, but until it arrives, shouldn't we give ourselves permission to thrive?

This Week's Marriage Moment From Marriage Works
When a couple marries, they are deemed "one flesh." However, becoming "one" is a process- an ongoing evolution that requires both spouses to continually show up, engage, sacrifice, and be committed to one another and the process.

The Power of Self-Talk
Lance Wallnau posted this on Facebook (here's an excerpt):

"One of the most powerful factors in personal transformation is SELF TALK! If as the Bible states, you are "transformed by the renewing of your mind," how you think and what you say to yourself has to be one of the top factors in your transformation.

So where do we begin?

First, we need AWARENESS! The mischief regarding self talk is that it is so constant we seldom are aware we are doing it. You won't always catch it but you can be aware of how it makes you feel. Your emotions are wired to your thoughts - they are linked into a cause and effect sequence. As Paul wrote to the Romans: "The mind that is set on the flesh is death, but the mind that is set on the Spirit is life and peace."

(Check out the rest on his public Facebook page--Lance Wallnau....)

Prophetic Word-- September 2013

This is a now season not to be confused with a former season.  I am giving you new eye sight. Your vision will be clearer, sharper and more accurate.  Many have been fooled and have been complacent but don't miss this-----it is not the same it is a new season.   It is not the same season!  It will take faith and a willingness to go forward in this next level.  The thing about level changes is that many fail to elevate because it feels like and visually looks the same when looking with natural sight.  It is not the same.  It's different but only seen through the eyes of faith. Ask yourself, "Where am I slipping?"  The enemy wants to see you in a downward spiral. A slow moving downward spiral but I am sending waves of shifting and transition. Don't wait to feel it but by faith believe it. I am moving!
